APPG on State Pension Inequality for Women

The APPG on State Pension Inequality for Women was reconstituted with an inaugural meeting on Tuesday 10th September 2024. The APPG has been very well attended and it is clear that this is high on the agenda for many MPs and Lords: If your MP is not on our Members and Supporters list, please do encourage them to get in touch for more information about getting involved.

Inaugural meeting, Tuesday 10th September 2024

At the inaugural meeting, members agreed APPG’s purpose and agreed it would remain as before, namely: “To provide a cross-party forum in which to hold the Government to account on the issue of transitional arrangements to compensate 1950s-born women who are affected by changes to the state pension age and to campaign on issues around the state pension age.

The full minutes of meetings will be published on this site after they are approved at the next formal meeting of the APPG.

If you would like to join the APPG as a member (open to Members of the House of Commons or House of Lords) or if you are an external organisation who would like to engage with the APPG, please contact us on rebecca.longbailey.mp@parliament.uk.

Please note, the APPG does not have an external secretariat, so while we appreciate communications from individuals too, we are not always able to reply individually to all such correspondence. We highly recommend you contact your local MP as well, and encourage them to join the APPG to represent you directly. You can find your MP here.
