Access to health services

Salford Register Office
The Register Office will be closed from 4pm on Tuesday 24th December 2024. They will be offering a limited service for death registrations only on Friday 27th, Monday 30th and Tuesday 31st December 2024. To make an appointment to register a death, please call 0161 793 2500.
For any other urgent matters only please email registeroffice@salford.gov.uk. For any non-urgent enquiries, these will be dealt with from Thursday 2nd January 2025.
Support Tenancies
The Supported Tenancies Service will be closed from 4.30pm on Tuesday 24th December 2024 and will reopen at 8.30am, on Thursday 2nd January 2025.
If you require any emergency assistance during this period you can contact the service on the out of hours mobile number: 07591 349100, this phone will be on between 10am and 2pm on the following dates: 26th December 2024 to 1st January 2025.
You can text or leave a message and it will be picked up the following working day. You may not get an immediate response if it is not an emergency. Some messages will be dealt with when the service is back on the Thursday 2nd January 2025, when normal business resumes.
If you have an issue with the property you are staying in, please contact the provider, if you have any other issue with your placement please call the number above between the times stated, or outside of these times you can call Salford City Council’s Out of Hours emergency line on 0161 794 8888.
Bin collections
There are some changes to bin collection days during the Christmas period.
Wednesday 25 December 2024 (replacement collection date is: Saturday 21 December 2024)

Suicidal thoughts are far more common than people realise and can happen for lots of different reasons.
